Act on your first recommendation

Summary​

Costimizer surfaces actionable recommendations — rightsizing, idle resources, storage cleanup, and more — on the Recommendations page and Home dashboard.

Required role: Manager or Engineer (varies by recommendation type)

Prerequisites​

  • Connected data source with at least 24–48 hours of usage data
  • Resources discovered by Costimizer

Steps​

1. Open Recommendations​

Navigate to Home → Recommendations in the main menu.

2. Review recommendation cards​

Each card shows:

  • Recommendation type and affected resource
  • Estimated monthly savings
  • Brief description and severity

3. Open a recommendation detail​

Click a card to see full context: metrics, rationale, and suggested action.

4. Evaluate before acting​

Validate in staging or with the resource owner before applying changes in production — especially for rightsizing.

5. Archive or track​

After applying a fix, archive the recommendation or mark progress. Applied items move to Archived Recommendations (Sandbox menu).
