Slack integration

Summary​

Connect your Slack workspace to receive real-time FinOps alerts and share cost trends with engineering teams.

Required role: Organization Manager

Steps​

  1. Navigate to Settings → Integrations or use the dedicated Connect Slack flow
  2. Click Connect Workspace
  3. Authorize Costimizer in the Slack OAuth dialog
  4. Select notification channels for:
    • Anomaly alerts
    • Budget threshold warnings
    • Recommendation digests (optional)
  5. Send a test notification to verify delivery
  • Create a dedicated #cloud-costs channel for FinOps alerts
  • Start with High & critical anomaly sensitivity; tune after 2–3 weeks
  • Use Slack threads to keep anomaly investigations organized
